  • Google AI: “On Board Game Arena, a yellow star with specific dates indicates a premium game that is temporarily free for all users to host and play during a featured promotional event. These events often allow players to unlock exclusive badges, after which the game reverts to requiring a premium membership for hosting”.

Instructions & Experiences

Aborting

  • “Turn Aborting: If you try to take an action but it is invalid (or if you change your mind) and abort it, the system should return your cards, but the interface can sometimes become unresponsive if multiple actions are clicked quickly”.

Double-Routes

  • India: “You can only play 4 players maximum. Double routes are only available at 4 players”.
  • Nordic Countries: “You can only play 3 players maximum. Double routes are only available at 3 players”.
  • Switzerland: “You can only play 3 players maximum. Double routes are only available at 3 players”.

TTR on BGA is no Poker Game

  • While TTR with physical board and so concentration on one play, TTR is much of a Poker game - You should observe the other players:
    • Remembering and analysing which open train cards the other players are drawing.
    • Analysing which train connections the other players occupy. Anticipating their next moves regarding which routes they will occupy with cars. Mayjor reason is to occupy the routes needed for own play, to avoid to get blocked.

Ferries
  • You can check your resources before :-).
    • “Ferries must be paid for with Locomotive (wild) cards. For example, this route has 2 regular spaces and 1 ferry. You would have to use 2 cards of the same color and 1 Locomotive to build it”
  • Ferries:
    1. London - Amsterdam ( 2 locomotives )
    2. Palermo - Roma ( 3 + 1spaces ).
    3. Palermo - Brindisi ( 2 spaces + 1 locomotive ).
    4. Palermo - Brindisi ( 2 spaces + 1 locomotive ).
    5. Athena - Brindisi ( 3 spaces + 1 locomotive).
    6. Athena - Smyrna ( 3 spaces + 1 locomotive ).
    7. ... ( List is incomplete ).
Train Stations
  • You can check your resources before :-).
    • A Train Station allows its owner to use one, and only one, of the routes belonging to another player, into (or out of) that city to help him connect the cities on his Destination Tickets.
    • Stations may be built on any unoccupied city, even if it currently has no claimed routes into it. Two players may never build a Station in the same city.
    • As the destination points are calculated at end of game, it doesn't matter before end of play, which route is covered by the station. Indeed, the player might decide at end of play, by which route to or from the city he gets the most points.
      • “If a player uses the same Station to help connect cities on several different Tickets, he must use the same route into the city with the Station for all of those Tickets”.
      • “The Train Station owner does not need to decide which route he will use until the end of the game”.
  • overRules "Ticket to Ride Europe" - Animation how to set a “Train Station” on a city :-).
    • “Each player starts with 3 Train Stations. You may spend a turn to place one of them in a city. Each city can only accommodate one station. Each station allows you to use one claimed route going out of that city as if it were your own, helping you complete Destination Tickets. Stations do NOT contribute to your longest continuous route”.
    • The first station you build costs 1 Train card. The second costs 2 cards of the same color. The third costs 3 cards of the same color. Each unbuilt station is worth 4 points at the end of the game”.
    • “A Train Station allows its owner to use one, and only one, of the routes belonging to another player, into (or out of) that city to help them connect the cities on their Destination Tickets”.
    • “To build their first Station, a player plays and discards one Train card from their hand, and places one of their colored Train Stations on the chosen city. To build a second Station, the player must play and discard a set of two cards of any one color; and to build their third station, a set of three Train cards of any one color. As usual, you can replace any number of cards by Locomotives”.
  • Digital play on BGA, MGS: When the player clicks on the round icon of a city to build a “Train Station” on that city, the player is asked for the color of the “Train Car” :-).
Tunnels
  • How to use:
    • For success you need up to 3 additional cards or locomotives of the same color of the cards played to claim the Tunnel :-( :-(.
    • Example: For a tunnel with 2 spaces, you need up to 5 train card of the proper color or locomotives, for success.
    • “When attempting to claim a Tunnel route, a player first lays down the number of cards required by the length of the route. Then the top three cards from the Train Card draw pile are turned face-up. For each card revealed whose color matches the color of the cards played to claim the Tunnel, an additional card of the same color (or a Locomotive) must now be played from their hand. Only then can the player successfully claim the Tunnel route”.
    • “Whenever you build a tunnel, BGA will reveal three random train cards from the deck. You must pay an additional card of the same color for each revealed card that matches the cards you used to construct the route”.
  • Tunnels:
    • Europe:
      1. Pamplona - Madrid ( 3 BLACK & White spaces ) :-(.
      2. Pamplona - Barchelona ( 2 spaces ).
      3. München - Venezia ( 2 BLUE spaces ).
      4. Zürich - München ( 2 YELLOW spaces ).
      5. Zürich - Paris - ( 3 spaces ) :-(.
      6. Zürich - Venezia ( 2 GREEN spaces ).
      7. Zürich - Marseille ( 2 VIOLET spaces ).
      8. Marseille - Roma ( 4 spaces ) :-(.
      9. Stockholm - Petrograd ( 8 spaces ) :-( :-(.

  2. Google AI: “Based on user reports regarding digital versions of Ticket to Ride, the Warehouse and Depots feature from the Europa 1912 expansion is generally not implemented. While the Europa 1912 expansion on Board Game Arena (BGA) and other digital platforms (like Steam/Android) includes the new destination tickets (Europe Expanded, Big Cities, Mega Europe), it typically acts only as a map variant without the specialized Warehouse and Depot mechanics. What is missing: The mechanism where players place depots, store cards in warehouses, and pick up cards from others' warehouses is absent”.
