The Story

In summer 1997, I started writing a multi-platform object-oriented software for controlling fischertechnik modells. But the project delayed and was even suspended due to a temporary hardware failure until summer 2002.

Facts

The software is coded in "ANSI C/C++" language
Target CPUs & computer hardware:
- MCF5206 Coldfire evaluation board M5206AN.
- ATART-ST TOS / 680xx
- MSDOS / 80386
- Windows / 80386 ( support is planned with future releases )
Target i/o devices:
- fischertechnik #30 520 - parallel ( printer ) interface.
- "SERVICE III" by Bönig und Kallenbach OHG ( 1, 2 ) - serial interface.
Development tools:
- Coldfire target
  - ASHWare and David Fiddes - GNU C/C++ compilers for Coldfire.
  - Stefan Robl - BDMDebug, a Windows based BDM Debug Tool for ColdFire CPUs.
  - Pumpkin TFTP Server for Windows
- ATARI-ST TOS / 680xx
  - ATARI-ST GNU C/C++ compiler for 680xx.
- MSDOS / 80386
  - Delorie GNU C/C++ compiler for MSDOS / 80386.
  - Cygwin GNU C/C++ compiler for Windows.
