When to buy ?

In Germany, a good time for bargain buying is in late August and early September, shortly before or after the IFA Internationale Funkaustellung and Photokina exhibitions :-).

Digital Photo Cameras

Surveillance Cams / Webcams

Digital Photo Cameras with "RAW" Format ( "Photo Raw" )

  1. Canon PowerShot G5, G6, G9 - Storage of “RAW” pictures ( in opposite to G7 ). The cams use proprietary Lithium-Ion accumulators :-(.
  2. Fujifilm “FinePix S9100” - AA batteries, lense screen. But no picture stabilisator.
  3. “Leica D-LUX 3” - The cam uses proprietary Lithium-Ion accumulators :-(.
  4. Nikon Coolpix - The cams use proprietary Lithium-Ion accumulators :-(, but there is an optional battery pack :-).
  5. Olympus - AA batteries, no lense screen. But the use of the slow xD-Picture Card is a weak point.
  6. Panasonic Lumix - The cam uses proprietary Lithium-Ion accumulators :-(.
  7. “Pentax K100D Super” - AA batteries, image stabilisation, DOF preview, RAW images.
  8. “Casio Exilim Pro EX-FH20” ( Casio Exilim ) - AA batteries, Adobe DNG “Raw” format.
  9. “Sigma DP1” - The cam uses proprietary Lithium-Ion accumulators :-(.
  10. “Sony Cyber-shot DSC-R1” - The cam uses proprietary Lithium-Ion accumulators :-(.
