  • Sportcenter Lenz - My Sauna visit was in 2024-11 :-).
    • Sportcenter Lenz in Ascheberg, Industriestraße 19 - 21, D-59387 Ascheberg.
      • Sauna.
        • Outdoor garden Sauna.
        • Indoor Sauna - Permanently closed.
        • Steam bath - Permanently closed.
        • Indoor Sauna dip pool - Permanently closed.
        • Small outdoor Sauna dip pool - Permanently closed.
        • Large outdoor Sauna dip pool in the Sauna garden - Closed in the Winter season.
        • There is a relaxation area in the Winter garden & Sauna garden.
        • There is no ice fountain :-(.
        • I served as complimentary Sauna infusion master :-), as Sauna infusions are self-service. I was even allowed to mix the Sauna infusion by myself.
        • There are cold showers and toilets in the Sauna garden house.
        • There are sandclocks and a clock in the Sauna room :-). In most other parts of the Sauna sections, there are no clocks or the clocks were out of order :-(.
      • Swimming pool hall in the Sauna section ( Not mentioned on the homepage! I just learned by a phone call with a cleaning specialist, who isn't responsible for ticket sales, as there is o ticket counter anymore ).
        • The indoor swimming pool ( 11m x 4m, 1.3m water debth, 24° Celsius instead of advertised 28° Celsius water temperature ) is covered by a roller shutter that opens at the push of a button ( Instruction plate “Falls Rolladen zu → Schalter drücken” ).
        • Nude swimming.
        • There are toilets.
        • There is a clock, but the clock is out of order.
      • Entrance area.
        • Hours of opening: Mon. - Sun. 15:00-21:00.
        • You need 5 x 2 EUR coins. There is no ticket counter with human staff member, anymore.
          • There is a money changer machine: It accepts best 10 EUR bank notes. It doesn't accept 5 EUR bank notes. Sometimes it accepts 20 EUR banknotes. It returns just 2 EUR coins.
        • There are changing rooms and wardrobes.
          • The changing room with the wardrobes is outside the Sauna section. You need a 2 EUR coin pledge for the wardrobe.
        • How to enter the Sauna section:
          1. Place larger sports bags on the shelf in the open window of the permanently locked entrance door.
          2. Check hat the turnstile is locked into place.
          3. Important:
            1. Enter the turnstile.
            2. After entering the turnstile, insert coins ( Sauna dayticket: 4 x 2 EUR coins ( = 8 EUR ) ) while you are already in the turnstile.
          4. Turn around the turnstile.
          5. Take your sports bags from the shelf in the open window of the permanently locked entrance door.
      • Travel by train via “Dortmund” or “Münster” to “Ascheberg”.
    • Sportcenter Lenz in Unna, Hans-Böckler-Straße 26, D-59423 Unna - My Sauna visit was in 2024-01 :-).
      • Swimming pool hall.
        • Nude swimming.
      • Sauna.
        • 2x Finnish Sauna.
        • 1x Bio Sauna.
        • Steam bath - Since 2020-03, the steam bath was closed. As of 2024-01, it is now permanently closed, due to technical problems and due to little acceptance and use by the sauna visitors :-(.
        • There is an indoor Sauna dip pool :-).
        • There is no ice fountain :-(.
        • I served as complimentary Sauna infusion master :-), as Sauna infusions are self-service for all 3 Saunas. I was even allowed to mix the Sauna infusion by myself.
        • However sometimes, there is an official Sauna infusion by a staff member in the Finnish Sauna on the roof of the building.
    • There are showers, toilets, wardrobes, small safes and changing rooms.
      • There are some clocks, but all clocks are out of order, or don't show the correct time :-(.
      • There are enough sandclocks, but not in the steam bath.
    • Travel by train to “Unna-Massen” or “Unna”, by bus to “Massen Autobahnbrücke, Unna”.
