        • For the warm showers, scrub salt ( “Scrubzout” ) is provided for free.
        • You get an electronic chip ( magnetic pin ) with a label of the wardrobe numberm e.g. “40”.
          • At the control device of the changing room.
            • First time, reserve given wardrobe (1) Select “Yes” (2) Keep your electronic chip at the sensor below the control device (3) Enter a numeric password.
            • Later, for opening the wardrobe: (1) Select “No”, (2) Enter wardrobe number (3) Enter password.
          • You may put the chip in a hole in the inside locker, so that the door can't close automatically.
          • As you have a password for your wardrobe, you may put your electronic chip in a special thin compartment inside the wardrobe at the very top.
      • There are enough clocks and sandclocks, but not in the steaming bathes.
      • There is an outdoor ice fountain ( Label “Scherfijs” = flake ice ) .
      • There is an indoor Sauna dip pool.

      6. Extremely large footwater basin.
    • Steam bathes:
      1. Water steam bath.
        • Warm water flows from a long tube through small holes onto the seating stones, and the floor of the steam bath is also constantly covered with warm water at foot level.
      2. Turkish steam bath in the Wellness Grotto:
        • With large heated stone bed section ( enough space for 3 people ).
        • With some typical oriental metal bowls for pouring cold water over yourself.
    • Free offer of cooled drinking water.
    • This is a spa for Summer time and in general for warm & sunny weather.
      • The location is surrounded by coniferous forest (spruce,..).
      • With warm & sunny weather, people may use outside the restaurant terrace section & the lawn to lie on loungers.
      • However:
        • There are just 2 small rest rooms in the wellness cave ( underground, so no natural light ) , with 11 water beds and some sofas.
        • The restaurant and bar area inside the main buildung is quite large. The bar area looks like a lounge, with small tables with thick leather chairs around them. I am not sure if this is a rest place without drink or meal orders.
        • The building “Sare Lounge” is just a bar, not a rest place. Btw, it was not operated during my visit in 2025-03.
    • Saunafans " Sare Therme & Beauty - Deurningen (Niederlande)" - “Für den Aufguss braucht man ein Ticket, dieses erhält man an der Rezeption und es wird ein Euro pro Aufguss berechnet. Man kann sich aussuchen, welchen Aufguss man machen möchte. Dafür muss man aber eine halbe Stunde vorher an die Rezeption gehen um das Ticket zu bekommen”.

      • There are sandclocks in the Finnish Saunas. There are no clocks for the infrared Sauna and the steam bath.
      • I served as complimentary Sauna infusion master :-), as Sauna infusions are self-service for both Finnish Saunas.
      • Besides a single clock at the entrance, there are no other clocks.
      • The outdoor Sauna dip pool is out of order, permanently.
      • There is no ice fountain.

    • To participate at Sauna infusions, you have to ask for a coin at the restaurant, which you then give to the Sauna infusion master when you enter the Sauna room. The first coin is granted to you when you enter the location, at the ticket counter.

        • According to older versions of the website, “Wellness Nijmegen” was the only “SportPalace” fitness studio location with wellness section.
          • “Natuurlijk kun je er ook voor kiezen om een dagje wellness bij ons te doen, of om gebruik te maken van slechts één van onze wellnessfaciliteiten. Meer weten over de mogelijkheden? Neem contact met ons op, wij informeren je graag”.
        • In 2025-12, dayticket ( spa & fittness ) = 20 EUR/day.
        • Sauna.
          • Outdoor: Finnish barrel Sauna. Permanently closed block house Sauna ( customers told me: Formerly with fire oven, after installation of an electric oven never reopened ).
          • Indoor: Finnish Sauna, steam bath, infrared Sauna.
          • There are enough clocks and sandclocks. For the steam bath, there was even a large clock visible through the glas door.
          • It is a nude Sauna without restaurant, i.e. without a section with duty to wear a bathrobe. So you can stay nude all the time ( besides Wednesday evening ), if you like. No need for a bathrobe outside the Sauna rooms, besides if you feel cold or you want to lie down on a lounger without a large towel
        • Small outdoor pool?
          • A Google review reports a “small outdoor pool”. There was no such in 2025-12, however there is a small pond in the Sauna garden, not intended for swimming.
        • Tanned bed ( “Solarium” ).
          • There is a tanned bed, which may be used without extra fee.
        • There are showers, toilets, wardrobes and changing rooms.
          • The wardrobes are proteced by an electronic lock with 8-digit numeric password.
        • The sauna's indoor and outdoor areas feature elegant furnishings, including art objects inspired by Asian and classical Roman / Greek styles. The sauna's facilities are flawless to excellent :-), except for 4 worn leather sofas in the changing rooms :-(.
